About TN NEET PG Counselling 2024
Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling 2024-25 is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2024 counseling will be done for 50% of state quota seats of government and management quota.
Candidates can begin to register as Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2024 counselling as the registration has already started from 3rd September 2024. Students must note that there is no offline admission or offline resignations are permissible.

Eligibility Criteria for Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling 2024-25
The necessary conditions to be fulfilled for participating in Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling are as follows:-
1.Student must be an Indian Citizen and must have undergone MBBS course including the Compulsory Residential Rotatory Internship (CRRI) period in the state of Tamil Nadu.
2.The candidate having nativity of Tamil Nadu must provide certificates of nativity of Tamil Nadu and some of additional documents like valid copy of Aadhaar card.
3.Candidate must qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-NEET PG 2024 conducted by the National Board of Examination.
4.A valid Registration Certificate from the Tamil Nadu State Medical Council or the Medical Council of India (MCI).
5.Candidates must qualify NEET PG 2024, scoring at least the 50th percentile for General Category. For Tamil Nadu natives from SC, ST, BC, MBC, and DNC, the minimum is 40th percentile, while for General Category candidates with disabilities, it is 45th percentile.
6.Candidates who have cleared their MBBS Examination and completed / completing the CRRI period on or before 15.08.2024 are only eligible to apply. However, the candidates should possess the Permanent Medical Council Registration Certificate of the States or of India or the provisional Registration Certificate of the Medical Council at the time of Counselling / admission.
7.Candidates with an MBBS degree from universities other than Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University must provide an Eligibility Certificate from the same university at the time of admission, and it should be submitted with the application.
8.Candidates seeking NRI seats must be of Indian origin settled abroad, born to Indian-origin parents, children of Indian citizens living abroad for work or business, or children of Indian government/public sector employees posted overseas.
9.Admission under Non-Resident of India scheme may be made on the basis of the marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination as prescribed.
10.The seats under NRI quota should be utilized by the bonafide NRI’s only and for their children or wards. Therefore, the NRI financially supporting the candidates should either be the parent (Father or Mother) of the candidate or the spouse or the blood relatives of the candidates or legally declared as guardian of the candidate by the Court as per provisions in “The Guardians and Wards Act 1890”.
Documents Required for Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling 2024-25
The necessary documents that must be presented in original at the time of joining in allotted institute along with scanned copy of original certificates are as follows:-
1.Community Certificate
2.NEET PG 2024 Score Card
3.NEET PG 2024 Admit Card
4.nnCRRI Completion Certificate
5.Aadhaar card/ passport or Voter ID
6.Recent passport-sized photographs
7.MBBS Degree Certificate and Diploma Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificate
8.Permanent Medical Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India /State Medical Council or provisional Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council.
Documents to be admitted under “NRI” quota should submit the below given documents, namely-
1.Candidate seeking admission under NRI Quota must have a valid Indian passport.
2.NRI status of the financial supporter issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country with their seal.
3.Certificate of Relationship between the NRI financial supporter and the candidate issued by the competent authority from Revenue Department and valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter
4.NRE (Non-Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book of the financial supporter
Students must note that if the documents produced by NRI candidates are found to be false, then criminal action will be initiated irrespective of whether they have been allotted the seat or not. With respect to candidates who have obtained seat based on the false documents the seat will be cancelled besides criminal action.
Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling Process
Step 1 – Online Registration & Fee Payment
Candidates need to register on the official DME Tamil Nadu website by filling out the application form and paying the counselling fee.

Step 2 – Verification of Documents
After successful TN NEET PG Registration 2024, candidates must upload their documents for verification.
Step 3 – Declaration of Merit List
DME will release a merit list based on NEET PG 2024 scores. Separate lists will be prepared for government and management quota seats.
Step 4 – Choice Filling
After the merit list is released, candidates can fill in their preferred colleges and courses.
Step 5 – Download of Allotment Letter
Seats will be allotted to candidates based on their rank, preferences, and the availability of seats. Candidates can then download the allotment letter once their seat is confirmed.
Step 6 – Reporting to Allotted College
In the final step, candidates must report to the college they have been allotted within the stipulated time to complete the admission process.
