Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024

Students who are interested in participating in Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024-25 are required to follow the necessary conditions:-

1.Candidate must be an Indian Citizen to be able to participate in Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024-25.

2.Non-resident Indians (NRI) are not considered eligible for any seat except NRI Quota seats in Unaided Private and Private Minority Medical Colleges.

3.Candidate must have completed the MBBS Degree from any of the recognized institute from the state of Maharashtra and have completed one year internship training by 15th August 2024 from a recognized medical college. However, the MBBS must be completed from a medical college affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences of the Medical College affiliated with Deemed University.

4.If a candidate has completed his or her MBBS Degree from a foreign country then, the candidate is not considered eligible to participate in Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024-25.

5.Candidate who are domicile in the state of Maharashtra and who have obtained admission under 15% All India Quota of Govt Medical College/ AIIMS/ Central Government Institutions for MBBS course in a medical college situated outside Maharashtra will also be considered eligible for selection NEET PG 2024. The candidate is required to submit the following documents:-

  • Certificate from the Dean of respective medical college stating that the candidate was admitted under 15% All India Quota of Government Medical College / AIIMS / Central Government Institutions for MBBS course, and
  • Candidate's Domicile certificate of Maharashtra State by virtue of residence.

6.Candidate must be medically fit in order to participate in Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024-25.

7.All Candidates desirous to take admission for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses under State quota or Institutional quota must have appeared for NEET-PG 2024 and declared eligible by the Competent Authority of NEET-PG 2024, Government of India, New Delhi.

8.Candidates belonging to Backward Classes (Including SEBC) / EWS must have claimed so in his online registration for Maharashtra State quota, failing which such a claim will not be entertained subsequently. Candidate belonging to above Categories should produce Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate / EWS eligibility certificate (wherever applicable) at the time of physical Document Verification process. Candidate who fails to produce above said certificates will be considered as Open Category Candidate provided he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria of NEET-PG 2024 during subsequent round(s).

9.Candidates who have passed postgraduate diploma course will be eligible for admission to postgraduate degree course in the same subject only through NEET-PG 2024.

Step 1 – Online Registration

8.Permanent/provisional registration certificate of Maharashtra Medical Council or other State Medical Councils in India or NMC.

9.Certificate from Head of Institute stating that the Medical College / Institute from which the candidate has passed MBBS examination is recognized by NMC/erstwhile Medical Council of India.

10.Medical Fitness Certificate (as per Annexure – M)

11.Copy of Receipt of online fee payment of Rs. 3000/- and deposit.

15.EWS candidates should produce eligibility certificate in prescribed format issued by appropriate authority, for academic year 2024-25.

16.All India Quota / AIIMS / Central Government Institutes selection letter / letter from Dean/Principal stating that the Candidate was admitted for MBBS under 15% All India Quota of Govt. Medical Colleges / AIIMS / Central Government Institution from All India Entrance Examination. (Refer Rule No.8.3 )

17.For Persons with disability (PWD) Candidates - Medical Disability Certificate from certificate issuing authority.

18.Bond release Certificate from DMER, Mumbai (as per rule 8.13)

19.NOC from Directorate of Health Services (for In-service candidates)

20.Orphan Certificate from appropriate authority.
