JIS School of Medical Science & Research is also known as JISMSR Santragachi. This medical college was founded in the year 2023 with the aim to develop a world-class medical college in West Bengal. The JIS Group has signed an MoU with the West Bengal Department of Health to provide good healthcare facilities to the people of West Bengal state. JIS Institute of Medical Science is situated in Santragachi, Howrah, West Bengal.

JISMSR Santragachi is a self-financed private Medical College in West Bengal state.

JISMSR Santragachi is a part of JIS University. It is under the affiliation of the Department of Health &Family Welfare, Govt of West Bengal. There is currently an MBBS course available for admission to JISMSR. This course is approved by the NMC (National Medical Commission). Under this program, 150 MBBS seats are offered to students for admission. Admission to the MBBS course is given through the NEET UG examination.

The rotatory internship is compulsory for all the students who pursue MBBS from the JIS Institute of Medical Science and Research.
